York County Regional Police host Post-Conviction Sexual Offender Testing training course (fox43.com) — York County Regional Police recently hosted an intensive Post-Conviction Sexual Offender Testing course in York, bringing in officers from across the East Coast to sharpen skills in managing and monitoring offenders. With more than 700 registered sex offenders in York County, the training focused on advanced polygraph techniques, offender psychology, and investigative strategies to better protect local victims and strengthen community safety. 
2. Spring Garden Township urges York County to lead on unhoused crisis after encampment evictions (wgal.com) — Spring Garden Township leaders in York County are pressing county officials to coordinate a countywide response to the growing number of unhoused residents, including those displaced from encampments in York and Bantz Park. Commissioners say individual townships lack resources and are urging York County to seek funding and take the lead on long-term solutions instead of repeated evictions.
3. Paddleboarder who drowned in York County lake ID'd as lacrosse coach (pennlive.com) — A 24-year-old paddleboarder who drowned in York County’s Lake Marburg during Saturday’s thunderstorm has been identified as Jack A. Murray of Camp Hill. Rescuers pulled others to safety that evening, but Murray’s body was not recovered until Monday afternoon. Murray, a former college lacrosse standout and assistant coach at Huntingdon College, is being remembered warmly by colleagues and players.
4. Meet the York Suburban team playing for a PIAA boys volleyball title (ydr.com) — York Suburban’s boys volleyball team, representing the York community, is heading to Penn State’s Rec Hall on Saturday, June 13 to battle Meadville for the PIAA Class 2A state title. The story spotlights the Trojans’ key players, their strengths, and how this tight-knit roster plans to chase the program’s first championship.
5. Annual effort to add color to downtown York flourishes (abc27.com) — Downtown York is bursting with new color thanks to 286 hanging baskets and 114 flower-filled containers installed by the Garden Club of York with support from Downtown Inc. Volunteers invested about $80,000 in plants and supplies, earned the Governor’s Trophy, and are also nurturing future horticulturists by awarding roughly $14,000 in annual scholarships.
