Annual effort to add color to downtown York flourishes (abc27.com) — Downtown York is bursting with new color thanks to 286 hanging baskets and 114 flower-filled containers installed by the Garden Club of York with support from Downtown Inc. Volunteers invested about $80,000 in plants and supplies, earned the Governor’s Trophy, and are also nurturing future horticulturists by awarding roughly $14,000 in annual scholarships.
