MA Man Charged With Casino Cheating: Rhode Island State Police

The New Bedford man was arrested by the Gaming Enforcement Unit, police said.

A Massachusetts man was charged with casino cheating, police said.

Joseph Garcia, 50, was arrested Sunday on charges of casino cheating — placing, increasing, decreasing, canceling, removing or attempt to with knowledge of the outcome and accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Garcia, a resident of New Bedford, was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released on $20,000 recognizance bail, according to the release.
