• Thieves Rummaged Through Nearly 2 Dozen Vehicles, Stole $4,500 Bracelet: Cops (patch.com) — Overnight thieves hit nearly two dozen vehicles in several Cranston neighborhoods, including areas around Budlong Road, Meshanticut Valley Parkway, and Reservoir Avenue. Police say wallets, cash, and jewelry were taken, with one victim losing a $4,500 diamond tennis bracelet, and are urging residents to check their cars and report any missing items.
   

• Cranston Denies 2 A.M. Hours for Zona Lounge Fundraiser (upriseri.com) — Cranston's Safety Services and Licenses Committee has rejected Zona Lounge's request to stay open until 2 a.m. for three fundraiser nights, after police strongly opposed the later hours as a safety risk. The decision keeps the city's usual 1 a.m. cutoff in place, even though the events were billed as benefits for local groups including Cranston Cares and the city's animal shelter.
