North Kingstown Man Tracked Down, Charged With Assault: Cops

EAST GREENWICH, RI — A North Kingstown man was charged with assault by use of device similar in appearance to a firearm, police said.

Collin Dionne, 19, was arrested shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

Dionne was also charged with disorderly conduct, the release said.

Police had issued a Be on the Lookout alert after a report of an individual who "brandished a firearm," according to the release.

A trooper pulled Dionne over on Frenchtown Road in East Greenwich and arrested him, the release said.

Dionne was processed at the Wickford Barracks and taken to Third Division District Court, according to the release.
