• Suspected Hopkinton Overdose Death Leads To 2 Arrests: Cops (patch.com) — Hopkinton police are investigating a suspected overdose death at a home on Old Hopkinton Cemetery Road that led to a controlled fentanyl buy and two arrests. Officers say additional narcotics and distribution materials were seized from the suspects' vehicle as part of the ongoing probe into possible drug sales to the victim. 
• DNA Leads to Arrest in 2005 Sexual Assault (forensicmag.com) — State prosecutors and Hopkinton police say new DNA analysis has led to charges in a 2005 first-degree sexual assault that allegedly occurred in town. A former Hopkinton resident has been ordered held without bail as investigators continue working this long-running cold case that has weighed heavily on victims and local officers for over two decades.
