• URI to award honorary degrees to entrepreneurs Marc Randolph and Dan Harple, and anti-poverty advocate Kate Brewster (uri.edu) — URI’s Kingston Campus will host Spring 2026 commencement ceremonies where Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph, tech entrepreneur Dan Harple, and anti-poverty leader Katherine Brewster will receive honorary degrees. Local readers can attend college-specific ceremonies at the Ryan Center in mid-May and hear Randolph deliver the College of Business keynote.
