• McKee Administration Approves Incentives for Economic Development and Job Creation (commerceri.com) — Middletown residents should know local defense firm SEACORP is set to receive about $1 million in state tax credits to create at least 53 high-paying jobs, with a median salary of $100,000. The same Commerce Board meeting also approved new incentives to help convert Providence's long-vacant Superman Building into hundreds of mixed-income apartments, leveraging substantial federal and private financing.
   

• As students return to school, so do school zone speed cameras (turnto10.com) — If you drive through Middletown's school zones, be ready: speed cameras that issued more than 6,500 violations by mid-March are switching back on as students return to class. The report explains how Rhode Island's automated school-zone enforcement works, notes heavy ticketing in North Kingstown too, and urges drivers to slow down to avoid costly citations.
