Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at Wakefield Books! We'll have raffles, prizes, and giveaways, and a book signing with local authors Joseph Dziobek and Maia Jansson. And the Indie Bookstore Day passport program is returning for the first time since 2019! Pick up a passport at Wakefield Books (or Charter Books or Books on the Square), and visit participating stores to collect stamps from April 18 to April 25. Return your completed passport to any one of the three hub locations on April 25 to be eligible for prizes. Grand prize is a $25 gift card to every participating store. Mark your calendars, and pick up your passport April 18, and join us for all the fun on April 25.

Spring Break&nbsp; ”Little Darlings” Canvas Painting Workshop at Rebekah Cook Art

Hop into the studio for some springtime magic at Rebekah Cook Art! On April 22nd from 1–3 PM, 344 Main Street, Wakefield, RI. All-ages are welcome to create this heartwarming art piece bursting with flower’s and cuteness. This workshop cost $50 per painter and includes two hours of instruction, all materials, and light refreshments to sweeten the day. The perfect way to celebrate the season! Come paint, laugh, and let your creativity bloom!

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. Outdoor tented events are our specialty, with numerous locations on-site that are picturesque for your celebration. Outdoor tented celebrations can accommodate up to 250 guests.
