Enjoy a mid-summer’s day at Horse Play! Find some treasure at our Yard and Tack Sale! Explore fun classes that support our horses! Painting ponies for kids, Meet-n-greet the Horses for everyone A Drum Circle followed by a Sound Bath in the evening Yard and Tack Sale from 9am-3pm Paint a Pony noon - 3pm Meet -n-Greet the Horses – 10am – 3pm T’ai Chi in the field with the horses 10am Zumba in the field with the horses 11am Yoga in the field with the horses 2pm Drum Circle in the field around 430 – 5pm Sound Bath in the field around 6pm Horse Play is a 501©3 nonprofit organizations. Join us for another exciting Kids at Kinney&nbsp;adventure as we explore the amazing world of carnivorous plants! Participants will discover why some plants have evolved to trap and digest insects, learn about the unique adaptations that help them survive in nutrient-poor environments, and meet some of the world's most fascinating plants up close.

From snap traps to sticky leaves and pitcher-shaped traps, kids will explore the different ways carnivorous plants capture their prey while learning about the habitats where they grow naturally. Through hands-on activities and close-up observation, participants will gain a new appreciation for these extraordinary plants and the science behind their incredible survival strategies.

Perfect for curious young scientists, nature lovers, and anyone fascinated by the strange and wonderful world of plants!

Rustic-chic private farm venue in scenic Stonington, CT 

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. Outdoor tented events are our specialty, with numerous locations on-site that are picturesque for your celebration. Outdoor tented celebrations can accommodate up to 250 guests.
