• More than 80 years after he was lost, a WWII pilot is laid to rest in Rhode Island (bostonglobe.com) — A World War II pilot from Narragansett, long listed as missing in action, has finally been laid to rest in Rhode Island after his remains were identified from a crash site in Thailand. Community members, veterans, and state leaders gathered Friday at Riverside Cemetery to honor 21-year-old Lt. McKinney's sacrifice and return him to rest beside his parents.
