2 Pawtucket Men Charged With Gun Attack: Cops
They were charged with shooting a man in the chest, police said.

PAWTUCKET, RI — Two Pawtucket men were charged with a gun attack that left a third man with a bullet wound to his chest, police said.
Kavon Almeida and Jaevon Gomes, both 21, were arrested Wednesday morning on charges of assault with intent to commit attempted murder, discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence, firing a firearm in a compact area, felony conspiracy, conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor and disorderly conduct, the Pawtucket Police Department said in a media release.
Almeida and Gomes were charged with shooting a man on Mineral Spring Avenue Sept. 24, the release said.

The target of the gun attack was hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his chest and has since been released from care, according to the release.
Detectives identified Almeida and Gomes "as being responsible for the shooting," the release said.
