• Boys Town earns national honor (eastbayri.com) — A Portsmouth-based nonprofit, Boys Town New England, has earned a national Angels in Adoption honor for its foster care and family support work across Rhode Island. The organization, which reached nearly 1,200 children last year, offers foster placements, in-home support, and reunification services, and is inviting interested Portsmouth residents to learn more about becoming foster parents.

• Amo opens second Blue Economy tour at REGENT's new North Kingstown factory (whatsupnewp.com) — A new round of "Blue Economy" visits by Rep. Gabe Amo will again spotlight Portsmouth, with VATN Systems listed among the Rhode Island companies he's highlighting for marine-related innovation and jobs. Amo says the sector already supports tens of thousands of state jobs and billions in economic activity, and he plans to meet with workers, researchers, and small businesses across the First Congressional District in coming weeks.
