Massachusetts Man Charged With DUI: Cops (patch.com) — Police say a 53-year-old Fall River man was stopped on Valley Street in Providence shortly after 1 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence. Rhode Island State Police report he also refused a chemical test before being processed at headquarters, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released to a responsible adult.
   

2. Providence Man Charged With Possessing Stolen Vehicle: Cops (patch.com) — A 48-year-old Providence man faces charges after state police say he was found with a stolen vehicle and one bearing an altered identification number. Arrested early in the morning by specialized Rhode Island State Police units, he was processed, arraigned in Third Division District Court, and granted a $3,000 surety bail.
   

3. Patriots QB Maye, wife surprise Providence educators with generous gift (wpri.com) — Teachers and support staff at Providence's Alfred Lima Elementary just had their Amazon classroom wish lists fully funded, thanks to a $15,000 gift from Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and his wife. The surprise donation eases out-of-pocket costs for educators serving mostly low-income, multilingual students and will be celebrated with a planned "Maye Day" visit so the school community can thank the couple in person.
   

4. Man arrested on multiple warrants in Providence (newportdispatch.com) — Two Providence men were arrested in separate traffic stops on Admiral Street and Branch Avenue, one on multiple warrants tied to theft and shoplifting, and another on a marijuana possession charge. Both were processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, with one sent to the ACI and the other released with a court date, underscoring ongoing enforcement activity in city neighborhoods.
   

5. Beloved zebra at New England zoo dies after being critically wounded by another animal (boston25news.com) — Visitors to Providence's Roger Williams Park Zoo are mourning Zipper, a zebra who had lived there for 27 years and was euthanized after a severe injury, likely from another zebra. Staff describe her as a calm, carrot-loving favorite, and are now closely watching the remaining zebra, Tundra. Zoo officials say they're reviewing what happened to prevent similar incidents.
