Providence Man Arrested On Cocaine And Ecstasy Charges: Cops

He was arrested at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was arrested on cocaine and ecstasy charges, police said.

Stephen Wehgbay, 34, was arrested about 4:30 a.m. Thursday by the Rhode Island State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area and Violent Fugitive task forces, the state police said in a media release.

Wehgbay was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and MDMA, according to the release.

"The arrest was the result of the execution of search warrants at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation," the release said.

Wehgbay was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and taken to Sixth District Court for arraignment, according to the release.
