Providence Man Wanted On Deadly Weapon Assault Charge Apprehended: Cops
The Providence man was wanted in Massachusetts, police said.
PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man wanted on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon was apprehended, police said.
Jose Alonzo, 56, was arrested about 10 a.m. May 7, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Alonzo was wanted as a fugitive from justice from Massachusetts, according to the release.

"The arrest was the result Mr. Alonzo being taken into custody at Rhode Island Hospital," the release said.
"Alonzo was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment," according to the release.
