Supporters say the Natural Forest Protection Act would safeguard old-growth forests and rare species, while the state DEM argues it could hamper responsible forest management; for now, the proposal is held for further study.

- I walk through the Whaler’s/Mills area pretty regularly and every morning I’ve been noticing someone running a large sprinkler that’s pulling water directly out of the mill river to water the grass nearby.
Which is a vacant field. It just seems really odd to me, the grass is already green, and rain is coming. So why drain the river? (Nextdoor In Town - SK) - Lost Cat “Obi”
