• PFAS crisis deepens in Tiverton (eastbayri.com) — Tiverton residents near Crandall Road are facing serious PFAS contamination in private wells, with some homes testing at levels considered untreatable and needing rapid access to public water. Town leaders, state agencies, and Congressman Gabe Amo are coordinating on emergency funding, expanded testing, and long-term infrastructure fixes, while federal officials explore grants and loans to move projects before winter.
   

• Rhode Island archery hunters get earlier start under new deer rules • Rhode Island Current (rhodeislandcurrent.com) — Tiverton hunters now get a two-week earlier start to archery deer season as part of expanded Zone 2 dates running through January. New aerial surveys show about 17 deer per square mile in Tiverton and Little Compton, prompting DEM to lengthen seasons and align archery, muzzleloader, and shotgun dates across key zones.
