The city, state, and OpenDoors are partnering on funding, building repairs, and expanded services, which local officials say are critical for residents facing homelessness and addiction.

Woonsocket police search for autistic man reported missing (coastalabc.com) — Woonsocket police are asking for your help finding 26-year-old Abraham Caceres, an autistic man from Woonsocket last seen Thursday morning near Kennedy Plaza in Providence. He left home without a working phone and has difficulty communicating, so anyone who spots him or has information is urged to call Woonsocket police at 401-766-1212.

See high school football teams hit the practice fields across RI (newportri.com) — High school football practices are underway across Rhode Island, and Woonsocket's team is among those already hitting the field. Providence Journal photographers are touring programs from Woonsocket to Westerly, including St. Raphael and other nearby schools, giving local fans an early look at this fall's squads.
