• Bonneau employee charged with embezzlement (postandcourier.com) — Bonneau residents should know that a town employee has been charged with embezzling public funds tied to the Victim Compensation Fund, and is now suspended. The mayor alerted the sheriff after noticing irregular transfers, and investigators say about $4,000 was moved from a town account, with roughly half later returned as the probe continues.
