• Arts Center of Kershaw County to screen Hamilton as part of Revolutionary Series on October 9th (whosonthemove.com) — A free outdoor screening of the musical Hamilton is coming to the Arts Center of Kershaw County in downtown Camden on Friday, October 9, with food trucks and lawn seating. The event is part of a larger Revolutionary Series that also includes a screening of The Patriot and a play about the Battle of Camden, all celebrating the area’s Revolutionary War history. 
• Dr. David Henry Woodbury, Jr. a scholarly life of worth (theroanoketribune.org) — A distinguished nuclear medicine scholar who was born in Camden in 1930 is remembered for a long career in research, teaching, and patient care across several states. Though his professional life took him far from South Carolina, his Camden roots are noted as the starting point for a life devoted to medicine, mentorship, and family.
