• Man killed woman who was ‘significant other' near Rock Hill, sheriff says (heraldonline.com) — A woman was fatally shot after an argument on Westbrook Road just inside Chester County, and a 64-year-old man has been charged with her murder after telling deputies he was the shooter. The Chester County sheriff and coroner are handling the case, and the suspect remains in the county jail without bail as the investigation continues. 
• Grant helps 'undiscovered' destinations expand tourism offerings (walterborolive.com) — Chester County has been awarded a $100,000 state tourism grant to build a Veterans History Center exhibit at the Gateway Conference Center, highlighting local military heritage and boosting visitor interest. The Undiscovered SC program also funded projects in several other small South Carolina communities, and new applications are open now for counties and towns that qualify.
