• DAR chapter honors area students for excellence (postandcourier.com) — Hemingway High School students Ry'Ell Jeremiah Wilson, Cha’Nie Williams, and Kayveon Platt were among those honored by the local Daughters of the American Revolution chapter for citizenship and excellence in American history. The awards highlight standout academic achievement and leadership at Hemingway High and neighboring schools, with teachers and DAR members joining to recognize students’ patriotism and service. 
• The Villes 1-2-1 Program awards scholarships (postandcourier.com) — Two Hemingway High School athletes, junior Tayvon Scott and freshman Ian Snow, have each received $500 Athletic Summer Camp Awards from The Villes 1-2-1 Mentoring Program. The scholarships will send them to specialized baseball and football camps while spotlighting a growing mentorship effort supporting foster and adoptive youth in the region.
