• Grant helps 'undiscovered' destinations expand tourism offerings (walterborolive.com) — Winnsboro is set to receive a $200,000 state tourism grant to repair the roof and install a new HVAC system at the Old Armory in Fortune Springs Park, a key site for local meetings and events. The funding comes through South Carolina’s Undiscovered SC program, which is backing several small communities’ tourism projects across the state. 
• Fairfield Sheriff seeks person of interest in I-77 shooting (blythewoodonline.com) — Fairfield County deputies are asking Winnsboro-area residents for help identifying a person of interest tied to a June 7 shooting on northbound I-77 near the Chester County line. Investigators released images of an individual and vehicle and urge anyone with information to contact the sheriff’s office or Crime Stoppers, referencing case number 26-003006.
