• Chicks come to the classroom at elementary schools across Lincoln County (teaweekly.com) — Beresford Elementary students joined classmates from five other Lincoln County schools in a hands-on chick-hatching project that brought farm life right into their classrooms this spring. Guided by SDSU Extension’s 4‑H “Chicks in the Classroom” curriculum, kids learned how embryos develop, candled eggs, and cared for 53 newly hatched chicks while teachers praised the excitement and real-world science lessons.
