• Mitchell's Emma Reinesch takes third at SDGA Junior Prep Tour stop in Brandon (mitchellrepublic.com) — Young golfers from across the region teed off at Brandon Golf Course, where Brandon’s own Max Vincelli fired an even-par 71 to win the boys 14–15 division. The SDGA Junior Prep and Mini Tour stops also highlighted strong showings from Mitchell, Sioux Falls, and other area players, with more junior events coming up soon in Sioux Falls.
   

• Former Pierre Resident Serves as Vacancy Pastor at Faith Lutheran Church (capjournal.com) — A pastor who once served Lutheran parishes in Brandon is now back in Pierre as vacancy pastor at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church while the congregation searches for a new leader. Rev. Dr. Michael Kumm, a former Pierre official and longtime LCMS servant, will also lead worship in Blunt and looks forward to reconnecting with South Dakota communities.
