• Chicks come to the classroom at elementary schools across Lincoln County (teaweekly.com) — Canton’s Lawrence Elementary second-graders spent this spring hatching chicks in their classroom, joining students from several Lincoln County schools in a hands-on embryology project. Guided by SDSU Extension’s 4-H curriculum, kids learned how chicks develop, candled eggs, and watched 53 chicks hatch across 12 classrooms, turning science lessons into an eagerly anticipated annual tradition.
