Des Moines man pleads not guilty to attempted murder after downtown Sioux Falls shooting (siouxfallslive.com) — A Des Moines man has pleaded not guilty to attempted first-degree murder and other charges tied to an August brawl and shooting in a downtown Sioux Falls parking lot. Police say a 20-year-old man was shot but survived, and investigators used video and witness accounts to identify and arrest the suspect, who remains jailed without bond. 
2. Solutions-based programs filling resource gaps in schools (mitchellrepublic.com) — Sioux Falls students in high-poverty schools are getting extra support from the local Promising Futures Fund, which backs field trips, after-school clubs, and family engagement nights across 21 city schools.
