Citizen coalition calls on Sioux Falls to enact temporary data center moratorium before final permitting of Gemini Project (tsln.com) — A coalition of local groups is urging Sioux Falls leaders to pause building permits for large data centers, including the proposed Gemini project, until stronger protections are in place. They argue a temporary moratorium would ensure future ordinances actually apply to Gemini and invite residents to sign a letter pressing the mayor and City Council for action.

2. Arrowhead Parkway project to be completed next month (keloland.com) — Drivers on Sioux Falls' east side can expect Arrowhead Parkway to fully reopen to Veterans Parkway by November 20, easing a major traffic bottleneck. The $39 million project will create the state's largest intersection, add multiple turn lanes, and include three lighted pedestrian underpasses, improving safety and access for nearby neighborhoods that have endured two summers of detours and cut-through traffic.

3. A surprise delivery from CJ Schwan's (keloland.com) — Construction of CJ Schwan's new food production plant in Sioux Falls is on track to start operations late next year, and the company has already begun hiring. To introduce themselves, staff are delivering free snacks to places like Fire Station 11 while promoting the 600-plus jobs coming to Foundation Park, where Bibigo dumplings and egg rolls will be made.

4. Huset's Speedway, National Guard bring smiles to Sanford Children's Hospital patients (dakotanewsnow.com) — Young patients at Sanford Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls enjoyed a special visit from Huset's Speedway drivers and the South Dakota Army National Guard. Kids could sit in a race car and mini F-16 and tour the new Sanford AirMed helicopter, giving them a fun distraction during challenging medical appointments.

5. SDSU QB Chase Mason holds autograph signing (keloland.com) — Jackrabbit fans in Sioux Falls got to meet SDSU quarterback Chase Mason during an autograph session hosted with UNRL and Scheels.
