• Mayor Porter: 10 critical buildings to stay powered when disaster strikes (ucbjournal.com) — Algood’s Community Center and City Hall are slated to get new FEMA-funded backup generators as part of a countywide effort to keep key buildings powered during disasters. Putnam County will use an $883,000 hazard mitigation grant to equip 10 critical facilities, helping ensure shelters, services, and emergency response can keep running through future storms and outages.
