• Obituary: Sarah Hooper (hatchiepress.com) — Bolivar-area readers are notified of the passing of 81-year-old Sarah Hooper, whose arrangements are handled through Shackelford Funeral Directors in Bolivar. Born in Uptonville and active at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Medon, she helped build the family’s Hooper Lumber business and is remembered as a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother with deep ties across Hardeman and surrounding counties.
