📰 News we're reading
• Books offered online or at Friends' sale (thedunlap-tribune.com) — Sequatchie County Friends of the Library are launching an eBay bookstore and holding a big October 21–24 sale in Dunlap, inspired partly by training from the Friends of the John P. Holt Brentwood Library. Their new online shop needs shares and follows to thrive, while the in-person sale will still feature thousands of books, puzzles, and auction items.
• Michael Joseph Barber (williamsonsource.com) — A family with deep Brentwood ties is mourning the loss of 39-year-old Michael Joseph Barber, beloved son of Gerald and Virginia Barber of Brentwood and devoted father to his young daughter. Remembered as a gifted engineer, outdoorsman, and stay-at-home dad, he is celebrated for his curiosity, creativity, and the loving presence he brought to everyday family life.
