• Black Bear sightings reported in Hickman and surrounding counties (mainstreetmediatn.com) — A black bear has been spotted twice in Burns near Interstate 40 and Spencer Mill Road, including in a resident’s front yard just feet from a porch and swing set. Wildlife officials say young male bears are roaming Middle Tennessee and urge Burns residents to secure trash, bird feeders, pet food, and grills, and to report sightings while keeping a safe distance.
