| Hi, I'm Joni Downey, the creator and founder of Characters of Character NFP. We are new(er) to Tennessee as we relocated here almost five years ago. Our greatest accomplishments while here in Tennessee are our donations of our Superhero Character building activity boxes to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderblit, Dolly Parton Children's Hospital, The Kids Rainbow Clinic in Clarksville, the YMCA in Robertson and Rutherford Counties and the Vanderbilt Clinic in Clarksville. We are able to donate these with funding. The Nashville Predators were the first ones to donate and that brought us here to Tennessee! We are here to stay, we are here to empower our children and reinforce these vital core values that I created as a Teaching Assistant back in the day. After earning a National Promising Practice Award in 2005 where I Piloted the characters I took a leave of absence to form the nonprofit. In 2007 we were off and running and haven't looked back and we haven't stopped sharing our messages.
