Local Animal Shelters and Mars Petcare Team Up for Adoption Weekend (williamsonsource.com) — Franklin pet lovers can adopt dogs and cats with fees covered at Williamson County Animal Center during Mars Adoption Weekend, running Friday, Oct. 2 through Sunday, Oct. 4. Partnering with Nashville shelters, Mars Petcare will fund up to $100,000 in adoptions and provide volunteers and supplies, making it easier for local families to bring home new pets.
