Being respectful to others, especially your family is an important character trait to own up to. When you are respectful to others, they will be respectful of you. It's a trait that seems to have fallen by the roadside today. We all expect others to think like we do, act like we do, vote like we do, etc. and that's not healthy. One important thing about respect is to respect yourself. If you don't, why should any one else?
