Every day should be Read A Book Day! Did you know that these nine characters are in one book, you'll have to purchase to take a look! The author is Joni Downey and the creator of the nonprofit organization, Characters of Character. She and her husband wrote this tune just for you and we hope that you'll read it and model these traits, too!
It's colorful and mentions an instrument or two, plus all the characters share what they do! The end of the book has pages galore for your children to tune in and begin to explore, write their own song, share their favorite instrument or character and before you know it their attitude will change, wanting to be like the Characters of Character gang!
Characters of Character NFP celebrated nineteen years as a nonprofit this past January and we continue to grow. Our main project is donating Superhero Character building activity boxes to children in the hospital because they are making a difference in the life of a child, and we spend a lot of time trying to fulfill them as we write grants and do a lot of community outreach. If you want to become involved with our charity and help fundraise, write songs, create videos for our children and youth to learn from, please reach out. Because we are small, we can't offer compensation other than a heartfelt gratitude for what you can do. We are registered in Illinois and Tennessee as a charity, but, here we are in Tennessee with so many creatives! If you're looking to bring music to our children, we'd love to chime in, because there is not better cause than our children.
