You Are Invited

What a CELEBRATION to be had when a child receives their own Superhero Character Building Activity Box as they heal or spend time in the hospital. Have you met the Characters of Character yet?

This is the box that a child receives, it is sturdy, colorful and filled with wonderful activities to impact and engage a child's mind with uplifting activities. This is what is included in each box:

• Superhero Activity Book

• Watercolor paints and brush
• Crayons
• A canvas that says I AM SUPER
• An easel to display the canvas
• Superhero Sticker
• Character lanyard and badge
• Felt Superhero mask
• Autographed greeting card from a character

What have the staff at the hospitals shared after receiving these boxes:

"When I handed this to a little boy who was in the ER he couldn't believe that it was for him, it was on Halloween and he was disappointed that he wasn't out with his friends. This box put the biggest smile on his face, thank you!"

"What a wonderful way to redirect a child who comes to the hospital usually quite fearful. It makes my job easier and it makes my patient so happy, thank you!"

One parent was appreciative after her young son received an activity box because they go to the hospital for asthma treatments and it's usually the television that is a go-to. This made their day!

• Grace and Pride Prep Academy in Clarksville

Characters of Character celebrated nineteen years as a nonprofit this past January and are passionate about donating these activity boxes to our children and youth here in Tennessee. So, YOU ARE INVITED to help us continue and bring these characters to life in conversations, lessons and activities as our children are the future, they are the most important part of our work, my day and will hold a special place in our organization for a lifetime.

It takes a village, a tribe, a community and today more so than ever I feel that children need this foundation to help them make good choices, learn that they are SUPER and build confidence, coping skills and become the best they can be, where they are.
