The mix of engines, tanker-pumpers, and mini pumper–rescue units will be stationed across the county to cut response times and replace an aging, unreliable fleet.
   

• 19 people indicted in connection with West Tennessee drug trafficking scheme, prosecutors say (wsmv.com) — A Huntingdon resident is among 19 people indicted after a two-year investigation into meth distribution across West Tennessee, according to federal and state prosecutors. Authorities say multiple agencies worked together to bring state and federal charges, including conspiracy and sale of methamphetamine, in a case centered on Henry County but reaching several nearby communities.
   

• NTSB releases preliminary report into Kenwood Middle School bus crash (mainstreetmediatn.com) — A federal investigation has confirmed that a Kenwood Middle School bus crossed the centerline on US-70 between Cedar Grove and Huntingdon before colliding with a TDOT dump truck and an SUV, killing two students and seriously injuring several others. The NTSB’s preliminary report, still subject to change, details clear weather, a dry roadway, and ongoing efforts to determine why the bus veered into oncoming traffic.
