ā¢ Amazon driver likely saves a family's home (1450wlaf.com) ā An Amazon delivery driver spotted a porch fire on White Rock Road in Jacksboro Wednesday evening and quickly called 911, allowing firefighters to save the home. Campbell County Rural Fire Service crews contained the blaze to the porch, and no one was injured. The homeowners returned just as firefighters finished clearing the scene.

ā¢ CC Finance seeking bids for 48 foot trailer (1450wlaf.com) ā Campbell Countyās Finance Department in Jacksboro is taking sealed bids for a used 48-foot open-top steel sanitation trailer, with quotes due by 2 p.m. on April 30. Local haulers and equipment dealers can submit bids to the Finance Office on Main Street in Jacksboro, with prices including delivery and handling and remaining valid for 90 days. Ā Ā Ā
ā¢ La Follette Medical Center offers free sports physicals to all students (1450wlaf.com) ā Families in Jacksboro should know that free sports physicals will be offered for all students at Campbell County High Schoolās Brown Gym on Saturday, April 25, at 9 a.m. The Tennova La Follette Medical Center event helps studentāathletes meet the required physical date for 2026ā2027 sports tryouts. Organizers will send completed physicals to the appropriate schools afterward. Ā Ā Ā
