• La Vergne mom charged after alleged attack on child (fox17.com) — La Vergne police arrested a local mother after an alleged domestic assault in which officers say she injured her child and then tried to take his life, even threatening to set the home on fire. The child was removed to safety, the Tennessee Department of Children's Services is involved, and the woman now faces multiple serious felony charges with bond set at $950,000.
