• WCS says downed bus routes reduced 92 percent (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Wilson County Schools report a 92% drop in downed bus routes this year, easing transportation headaches for families in Lebanon and across the district. New elementary schools and rezoning have relieved crowding, while Lebanon High remains one of the most full schools, and student board members—including one from Lebanon High—were introduced amid concerns raised about dress code enforcement and discrimination.
   

• Lebanon Family Restaurant Scores 59 as Inspectors Embargo 50 Pounds of Ribs (wilsoncountysource.com) — Health inspectors recently gave the Shoney's on South Cumberland in Lebanon a score of 59, embargoing about 60 pounds of food, including 50 pounds of cooked ribs kept without date labels. • Watertown Elementary receives $10K grant for PE equipment (lebanondemocrat.com) — Families around Lebanon may be glad to hear nearby Watertown Elementary School just received a $10,000 grant for new physical activity and PE equipment after students completed the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge. The school will spend the money by February, with students helping choose items like playground gear, soccer nets, and balls to support healthier, more active lifestyles.
