Neighbors describe diving for cover, calling for more security cameras and gates, and rallying around the teen's grieving family. Anyone with information is urged to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers anonymously.
   

2. Former teacher to Nashville school district: Stop managing your reputation and start protecting our kids (wsmv.com) — Metro Nashville school leaders are defending how grades are changed and how credit recovery works after former educators alleged widespread grade manipulation to boost graduation rates. A former teacher and counselor urged the school board to prioritize student protection and accountability, while administrators insisted changes follow policy and state rules. 3. Shows on October 3, 10, and 17 offer a rare intimate setting ahead of the band's new album release. Tickets go on sale online Friday, September 25, with strict two-ticket limits and Will Call pickup.
