• Trooper arrested on aggravated assault allegations (timesfreepress.com) — An off-duty Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper faces aggravated assault charges after allegedly ramming and firing at another vehicle while driving his personal car in Tracy City on June 2. Investigators say the chase followed a crash in the Tracy City area, and the case, along with a prior 2022 incident near town, remains under state review and in court. 
• Spring 2026 Dean's Lists (grundycountyherald.com) — Several Tracy City students have earned spots on spring 2026 Dean’s Lists at Middle Tennessee State, Columbia State, the University of Tennessee, and Motlow State, reflecting strong academic performance across the region. • Leadership Grundy presents class of 2026 (grundycountyherald.com) — Leadership Grundy’s newest class raised over $11,000 to help rebuild the storm-damaged pole barn at the Grundy County Saddle Club in Tracy City, directly supporting a key local gathering spot. Sixteen county residents completed the months-long leadership program, which focuses on community development, and applications are now open for the 2027 class beginning this fall.
