Abilene to open two new recreation centers and libraries (reporternews.com) ā Abilene is opening two brand-new recreation centers and library branches at Arthur Sears Park and Carver Park, replacing older facilities and the former Mockingbird Branch Library. Residents can use the centers for free, with fitness rooms, indoor walking tracks, gaming rooms, and classrooms supporting both Parks and Recreation and library programming for all ages.
