• West Nile virus detected in Brazoria County and Pearland mosquitoes (cw39.com) — Mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus have been found near County Road 31 and Lakeside in Angleton, where Brazoria County crews will spray twice nightly for the next three nights. Officials will retest traps next week and urge residents to wear repellent, dump standing water, and expect increased evening mosquito-control activity nearby.
