Prostate cancer screenings offered at no cost across Southeast Texas (beaumontenterprise.com) — Free men’s health and prostate cancer screenings are coming to Beaumont and nearby cities this summer, with Beaumont’s event set for July 25 at Lamar Institute of Technology’s Multi-Purpose Center. Orange County pastor urges safe spaces to curb teen violence this summer (kfdm.com) — A pastor in Orange County is using a structured summer basketball program to steer teens away from violence that he says is claiming lives on the streets in both Orange and Beaumont. Working with West Orange-Stark schools, he focuses on discipline, mentorship, and safe spaces so local youth stay busy, supported, and less likely to get pulled into trouble during summer break.
