Friends of the Bellaire Library Fall Used Book Sale (bellaireconnect.com) — Bellaire readers can stock up on bargain books at the Friends of the Bellaire Library Fall Used Book Sale on October 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bellaire Fire Station. With most hardbacks at $2 and paperbacks at $1, plus an expanded ongoing sale inside the library, it's also a great chance to donate books or volunteer alongside neighbors.
   

2. High Water Truck Pull and Car Show (bellaireconnect.com) — Bellaire residents can form a team for a high-energy High Water Truck Pull and Car Show at Bellaire City Hall on October 10, supporting Special Olympics Texas athletes. Teams of 12 can enter for $300, individuals can join for $30, and Special Olympics athletes participate free, making it a lively, family-friendly fundraiser right in the heart of town.
   

3. Bellaire committee to develop Evergreen Park renovation plan (communityimpact.com) — Bellaire's Evergreen Park is a step closer to a major makeover, as the We Are Evergreen committee has finished gathering community input and is now shaping a conceptual renovation plan. With more than 600 survey responses and multiple meetings, the group will soon workshop options with City Council, influencing future playground, pool, and green space upgrades that could reshape daily park use for local families.
   

4. West U task force presents public facility recommendations (communityimpact.com) — West University Place's facilities task force has unveiled major recommendations that could reshape the nearby library, community building, and senior center used by many Bellaire-area residents. After nine months of study and resident surveys, the group is urging larger, more modern spaces while emphasizing cautious use of taxpayer funds and outlining repair needs that could exceed $2.6 million.
