District tournaments set to begin in Little League International divisions (southtexasnews.com) — Brenham is set to host the District 13 minor-division baseball tournament at Linda Anderson Park, with Washington County’s all-stars playing pool games Saturday on Dallmeyer and Schroeder fields. Other county baseball and softball teams will compete in Sealy, Burton, Bellville, and Giddings as they chase district titles and possible trips to sectional and state tournaments.

Brenham Man Arrested in Austin County Shooting Case (austincountynewsonline.com) — Law enforcement from Brenham and surrounding agencies arrested a Brenham man Wednesday night in connection with a shooting at a home in northern Austin County. Officers located the suspect at a Brenham residence, seized firearms and narcotics, and booked him on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, while emphasizing he remains presumed innocent as the investigation continues.

3. Todd Levine Reuther (lexingtonleader.com) — A Brenham family is mourning the loss of 62-year-old Todd Levine Reuther, whose funeral is set for Friday morning in Giddings with burial in Lincoln. Born in Houston and later living in Brenham, he was remembered as a gentle soul who loved simple pleasures and time with friends from Brenham State School. Loved ones across Texas and Louisiana survive him.

Her loved ones remember her humor, creativity, and devotion to sewing, painting, travel, and time with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Schmidt Funeral Home in Brookshire.
