• Teachers charged for not reporting assaults that happened inside special education classroom (ktsm.com) — Families in Canutillo should know that two Canutillo ISD employees have been charged after allegedly failing to report separate confrontations involving a paraprofessional and special education students at Deanna Davenport Elementary. Four employees are now no longer with the district, and both law enforcement and the district say investigations into the students’ treatment are still ongoing.
   

• CREEED awards $27,500 in scholarships to El Paso seniors (elpasoinc.com) — A Canutillo ISD future educator is among 11 El Paso-area seniors receiving $2,500 scholarships from local nonprofit CREEED, helping cover upcoming college costs.
