CFBISD approves raises amid retention concerns (branchherald.com) — Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD has approved 2026–27 raises—2% for teachers and most staff and 1% for administrators—while postponing decisions on longevity pay and bus driver stipends until August. Trustees also backed extra stipends to stabilize Polk Middle School, updated discipline and phone policies, and plan to buy thousands of phone pouches as the district confronts enrollment declines and budget pressures.

Future community leaders sought for Leadership Metrocrest Class 36 (branchherald.com) — Applications are open for Leadership Metrocrest Class 36, a yearlong civic program that develops leaders from Carrollton, Addison, and Farmers Branch through site visits, policy sessions, and hands-on projects.
